Hi, I'm Mark Pope, owner of Great Western Woodcraft.

I started Great Western Woodcraft after a long career in IT and project management.
I love to make things with my hands and really fell in love with woodworking during the Covid-19 pandemic, when my small workshop became my "happy place".

Having made a wide range of things for friends and family, I felt it was time to branch out (no pun intended!) and sell my work.

I love to work with sustainably sourced hardwoods, with a particular love of Oak, Walnut, London Plane and Beech.

I feel it is so important to support small businesses and where possible, I always source materials from local suppliers.
